When to Come

Join us Sunday mornings for Sunday School at 10:00 AM and our main service at 11:00 AM. We also gather Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM and Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Most first-time visitors start with the 11:00 AM service -- just show up and we'll take it from there!

We're located at 5009 Jefferson Ave in Midland, MI 48640, serving the greater Midland, Saginaw, and Bay City area. Come a few minutes early and one of our friendly greeters will welcome you and help you get oriented.

We have something for every age. A clean, safe, professionally staffed nursery is available for infants through age 3, and kids ages 4-12 enjoy their own fun, age-appropriate classes. We also have dedicated programs for teens and young adults, plus classes for folks of all ages. No matter where you are in life, you'll find a place to connect and grow.

Dedicated shepherds committed to faithfully teaching God's Word and serving our church family.

Salvation: Saved in 1980 while stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB
Education: Trinity Baptist College graduate (1987)
Ministry: Previously pastored Bible Baptist Church in Perham, MN before moving to Midland in 1992
Family: Married Tracy in 1980 in Goldsboro, NC
Children: Bethany (married to Nathan Gregory, four children, serving at Solid Rock Baptist in Haslett), James (Urologist in Columbus, married to Mary, two children), Timothy (Senior Financial Analyst in Jackson, married to Melinda, two children)
Salvation: Saved in 1992 at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, NC
Education: Trinity Baptist College graduate (1994)
Ministry: Spent early ministry in a children's home before moving to Midland. Worked in bus ministry, children's church, and served 25 years as Youth Pastor before becoming Associate Pastor
Family: Married Amy in 1994
Children: Brock, Ethan, Elijah, Zachariah
Salvation: Saved at a Youth Conference in July 2012; sensed a call to ministry at age eight
Education: B.S. in Business Administration from Western Governors University (2022)
Ministry: Trained under Pastor Simpson before joining staff as Youth Pastor in August 2023
Family: Married Darla in 2018 at Midland Baptist Church
Children: Aurora, Maxwell, and Abraham
Our Ministries

Serving Every Generation

From children to seniors, we have vibrant ministries designed to help you grow in faith.

The nursery facilities are available for children ages three and under during all services. The purpose of our nursery is to provide a loving, safe, Christ centered environment for your children while in our care. It also provides parents with an area of childcare so they can worship without distraction, if they so choose. Each parent is given an electronic, vibrating pager so if the child needs their parents for any reason, they can always be reached without distracting the service.

Midland Baptist Youth Group exists to provide truth, strength, and encouragement to Midland's youth. The youth group meets for weekly Bible studies on Monday evenings at the church from 6:00-7:30pm.

Reaching out to young adults at a time in life where decisions are made that greatly impact the path of their lives, the college and career ministry provides young adults (18 and over) with a great emphasis for fellowship in an exciting and down to earth format. The college and career group has a Sunday School Class on Sundays at 10:00am as well as weekly Bible Studies on Monday nights at 7:00pm and meets often in various venues and for activities.

The adult choir ministers to the church weekly in song. Choir practice is every Sunday afternoon 4:45 - 5:45 PM. The choir is an essential part of our services which prepares our hearts for the preaching of God's Word.

Our senior ministry (50 and over) provides activities and fellowship for senior men and ladies once a month. Primetimer's luncheons are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month at a selected restaurant. Transportation is provided from the church to these special activities.

The young married couples group is made up of newly weds to couples with children under the age of seven or having one spouse under the age of 40. The group meets monthly to fellowship, eat, and hear some Biblical teachings. There are also small groups that meet for fellowship, prayer, and discussion. Child care is provided at all events.

The Ladies have monthly Bible Study on the second Monday of every month at 1:00 pm and 6:00pm (except June, July, and August).
